Elizabethan Society

The Elizabethan era is associated with the reign of Queen Elizabeth which existed from 1558-1603.and is often considered to be the golden age in the English history. It was the height of English literature and saw the flowering of English poetry. Also this the time during which Elizabethan theatre flourished and William Shakespeare with many others. This caused William Shakespeare to spring up and make great works of literature. It was an age of discovery and learning. These are the  elements in which we know of the,The Elizabethan Society.

Loves Labours Lost Overview

The King of Navarre and his three servants, Berowne, Longaville, and Dumaine, swear an oath to a regulation, which has fasting and avoiding contact with women for aperiod of three years. They receive a letter from a man called Don Armado, a Spaniard visiting the King’s palace, telling them that he had caught Costard, the village fool, and Jaquenetta, a country wench, romancing in the park. The King sentences Costard to on bread and water for 2 weeks
After that the Princess of France has arrived to visit the King. Because of his oath, the King cannot receive the Princess and her party at his court. The three servants fall in love with the three ladies,   and so does the King with the Princess.the king figures out his three loyal servants are not following the oath  so the King then advances and scolds the two men for breaking their oath. The four men  agreed to win the women over and forget the oath
After the men leave and reappear as themselves, the women reveal their prank( They switched places). They all watch a show of the Nine Worthies, performed by Don Armado. A messenger arrives to tell the Princess that her father has died, and she prepares to return to France. The women tell the 4 men to seek them again in a year, and the play ends with their departure.

Tragedies, Comedies and  Histories

Shakespeare has written many works of art which fall under the category of Tragedies, Comedies and Histories. Not only that he also wrote poetry. Some examples of comedies could be Loves Labours Lost and the Comedy of Errors, Some plays which fall under the category of Tragedies is Romeo and Juliet and Julius Ceaser, Some which fall under History are KIng Henry IV and King John VI .

Globe Theatre

The Globe Theatre was a theatre in London which played William Shakespeare plays. The theatre played an important role in Shakespeare’s plays, as in those times they didn’t have microphones, so they needed to project there voice so the audience can hear them, thats why the theatre was built in a round shape. It was built in 1599. By the company which help produce Shakespeare plays, the Lord Chamberlain’s Men. The Globe Theatre was destroyed by fire on June 29, 1613. A second Globe Theatre was rebuilt on the same site by June 1614, the theatre then closed in 1642. The new and modern reconstruction of the Globe, is now named “Shakespeare’s Globe“, and opened in 1997.

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men was the playing company that William Shakespeare worked for as actor and playwright for most of his career. The Lord Chamberlain’s Men had become one of the two leading companies of the city by 1603. It is named the Lord Chamberlains Men due to the fact that at the time of Shakespeare, no women were allowed in the plays, so that it is why they only use men at the end. The main reason in which The Lord Chamberlain’s company was a big hit is because Shakespeare had been a great and talented play writer.

Each Play company such as The Lords Chamberlains Men would have their own Theatre to perform such as the Globe Theatre; this in way people will recognize each company and what they perform. This is why The Lord Chamberlains Men were famous.

 What is an Informed Conscience?

In order to make a decision doctor’s access a wide range of medical knowledge and patient history in order to diagnose a problem and treatment. The same principle can be applied to making moral decisions. We must be well informed regarding all the facts of the situation, moral values, virtues and laws in order to make our final decision. Therefore, an informed catholic conscience is an educated conscience that knows in any given situation.

Read the following scenario and answer the questions:

Roger Smith, a quite competent swimmer, is out for a leisurely stroll. During the course of his walk he passes by a deserted pier from which a teenage boy who apparently cannot swim has fallen into the water. The boy is screaming for help. Smith recognizes that there is absolutely no danger to himself if he jumps in to save the boy; he could easily succeed if he tried. Nevertheless, he chooses to ignore the boy’s cries. The water is cold and he is afraid of catching a cold — he doesn’t want to get his good clothes wet either. “Why should I inconvenience myself for this kid,” Smith says to himself, and passes on.

1.) There are always TWO sides to a conscience. What would Roger’s conscience be telling him?

Rogers concience is telling not to help the boy who needs help because he firstly doesn’t want to to catch a cold aslo he doesn’t want to get his clothes. His mind is also telling him that he can swim and so that is advantage for if he is willing to help the boy

Jesus teachings can help us make descision because every story that Jesus has taught He helps us make descision. example The man stuck in the lions den he was saved by god and the lions didn’t hurt so if the drowning boy needed help then god will try and influence Roger Smith to help him.

Loving my neighbour as myself requires me to give the same love, care and rights i give to myself and my family. He is also telling me to treat my nieghbour as i do to my self.

Interactive TV is latest in technology where the person and user can change settings on the television to there personal likes and taste. Also you can make I that when you come back from you put the TV on then it will already be on the channel your after. This can be set on the TV settings.

It is called TV 2.0 because This is the second Generation of TV that’s why it id called TV 2,0

Some positives are it is new and fun to use. There are some features that you can get on TV 2.0 such as TV play and Pause Rewind and Forward but most of them are east to use. Some Negatives would be that most of these TV 2.0 features only come with Foxtel or Optus and you have To pay a great deal of money for it and the set top box which you have to buy with it.

The purpose of You tube is so that people can put up home videos and some time people put up videos so that they can reviews of some latest news. There are also some of the Greatest moments of movies and clips

They have changed the current ways of Advertising by the use of videos and adds sponsoring other sites so then they can put adds on there sites

Moral Integrity is a persons bases which the follow through out there whole life.

Maxillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity because He used his Moral Integrity which is everyone has equal rights and no one was higher and lower than anyone else. This is shown in the video when he gave up his life to save another person.

One ethical action that Maximillian has demenstrated was that he went and saved someones life and gave up his own to do so

He took his own life to save another this just proves that he cares more about others than himself also he thinks about other rather than himself. It is said in the Ten Commandments that love your neigbour as your self this meant that he thought if he was in the other persons position that other man would have done the same for him
